A Journey Through Art and Inspiration
Anita Darling
Born in the summer of 1980 in Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Anita Darling grew up traveling across the United States, drawing inspiration from her experiences. Initially studying commercial design at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, she later shifted her focus to providing artwork for the hospitality industry, leading to the opening of her own studio in 2017.
With her studio as a creative hub, Darling has mastered a wide range of media, including large-scale plaster and ink work. Her artistic versatility has led to projects ranging from mixed-media commissions for the Ritz-Carlton to empowering figure illustrations and even illustrating a children’s book.
Darling’s work has been featured in Atlanta Magazine’s 2019 fall edition and Atlanta Home Magazine’s winter 2021 edition. Her creations can be found in notable hospitality spaces like the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando, Midtown Union in Atlanta, and the Ritz-Carlton in Naples.
Inspired by life’s rhythms and nature’s patterns, Darling’s style combines abstract detail with real-life flora and fauna. Her work harmonizes line, shape, and texture to reflect the timeless beauty of the natural world.
