In a nod to the title of a 1989 Star Trek episode that has since entered the mainstream lexicon, Charriez synthesizes the easily recognizable imagery of well-known comic book superheroes with a moral imperative to observe and analyze the higher powers that the public trusts to guide our societies and safeguard our well-being. Upon closer scrutiny, we may find that these higher powers have their own agenda playing out behind the scenes, and they prioritize their personal interests ahead of the best interests of the collectives that they govern.
